I have always found that I cope better with small incremental steps to achieving a large goal rather than some overwhelming ambition that can never seem to be reached. In lockdown this steps to have been my coping strategy with the weirdness of the world. I have identified a few things that I want to do and am chipping away at them in systematically small steps.
For example, I wanted to lose some weight this month because I really let myself go in the 2020 lockdowns. I’ve managed to lose 2.5kg this month, which is not exactly a crash diet, but it gets me underneath the 13st mark (sorry to those who hate mixing imperial and metric measures.)
I also managed to write creatively for 30 mins each day, and wrote a first draft of a script that has been on the to-do list for a while. It is a lean 50 pages and needs a lot of work, but I got the structure down and I’m happy with that.

Elsewhere is just marking. Each year I bitch about this. Here is last year’s whine. I was hoping that lockdown would make it easier, but it hasn’t.
