Four oh

I turned 40 earlier this month. Not much to report, due to the fact that we’re still in lock down. I received some lovely presents and then got on with marking a mountain of work. Finally I got through around 200 assignments by the middle of the month. Perhaps the biggest piece of news is that I started a new company, Idiosyncratic, which I intend to use as a publisher of the different things I produce. It’s dormant at the moment, but will hopefully be active soon.

No Berlin visit this February. It seems like ages ago that Steve and I were there. The virus was really picking up in Italy at this point last year, and we were sanitising our hands at every opportunity in the festival. Little did we know what the following year would be like!

I’ve been trying to keep up with the writing. Having managed the first draft of a script last month, I moved on to a book that I have been meaning to write for a while. It is tough to stay as disciplined about doing a bit each day, but the word count is creeping up, so I’m happy with that.

Technically it was my teddy bear’s birthday too, so Snoopy gets the photo credit with Jaffa

The hope is to get a film shot later this year once restrictions are relaxed. Who knows if it will be possible? We can only hope…
