As Covid restrictions eased I had the opportunity of a couple of mini breaks to see family. I got over to Ireland to see family and friends for the first time in ages. It was a busy few days and lots of catching up, but a lovely time. I also spent a few days with more family in a holiday cottage in West Dorset, which was fun too. I can’t say that I am relaxed and looking forward to a new semester at work, but I can say it was good to see people after so long away.
Creatively I managed to record some tunes and have decided to conduct some musical housekeeping and put various instrumental projects together into a project called Four Scores, which I will post online soon. Collecting them together felt cathartic and logical for various reasons, and I feel like it offers some closure to various experiments that I have been exploring musically of late.
I also passed the 800 blog posts mark. I decided to veer away from just creative blog posting and chart some of the walking I have been doing on the South West Coast Path. I’m not sure it fits into the rest of the blog thematically, but I don’t care, and I wanted to document the trips somewhere and felt this was as good a place as any.
