I created Night Symphony as a follow-up to Light Symphony, which I had enjoyed making in lockdown. I shot the first three parts on a Panasonic GH5 and the last part on an iPhone SE. The music was recorded in Garageband. I don’t really think of either project as a film as opposed to video noodling, a chance to simply cut images to some sounds without worrying about the outcome. It has been quite refreshing getting back into the filmmaking workflow of shooting and editing rather than directing others, which happens over the years.
