I’m having some time off of work and not doing much, but I’m struggling to feel relaxed for some reason. It results in a rundown vibe, which is not much fun. Still, I have some more time off and hopefully it can turn a corner before going back for a new semester at the uni.
What have I been doing with my time off? I’ve visited my Dad a few times to help with cataloguing his train collection. Dad built the diorama in The Confusion of Tongues, so it is cool to be helping him with all the other trains and tractors that he has collated over the years.
Movie watching and movie making has taken a backseat recently. I gave a talk at the Wimborne Movie Makers club at the start of the month but I haven’t been productive myself. I mentioned my reasons for this last month, so won’t repeat myself here. Thankfully I’ve been recording more music. I’m quite happy with the sessions that I’ve been having at home, and an album is taking shape that I hope to complete before the end of the year.
Elsewhere, Bee and I have managed to get into the sea on a couple of occasions, and I enjoyed watching the women’s football team win the Euros. I had a quick trip to Manchester and Preston at the start of the month to do some external work but managed to catch up with my friends Anne and Tim too, who I’d normally see in Berlin but haven’t been for a couple of years.
