Back to work

I finally set foot back in the classroom for the first time in 18 months. It feels very stupid and inevitable that I’ll be getting Covid in the coming months. It seems that ‘learning to live with the virus’ is code for ‘everyone catch the virus’.

There are a few good things to come out of this month. I managed to get across to Swanage on foot from Bournemouth, which had been an ambition for some time. Bee and I bought a hot tub, which feel environmentally dubious, but we justify it on a couple of grounds: we have massively reduced travelling (either planes or in car), we are both vegan, get our energy from renewable providers and Bee needs it for her health. Not sure that will absolve us in the apocalypse, but we’ve been doing what we can.
