Reducing uncertainty

A month ago there was a lot going on. There’s still a lot going on but the future is becoming a bit clearer. I can’t say too much here as it is still being finalised, but the general outlook is much more positive than this time last month.

Creatively I have just about finished the first draft of a book that I have been writing for over a year. It’s a fiction comedy, written in the style of Adrian Mole/Diary Of A Nobody and I hope to have it out before the summer ends. I need to do a second draft as it is over 60,000 words, and should probably be closer to 50,000. I have literally written it each day for the last year (excluding weekends.) I’ve also been dabbling in more music, but that is for another time. Needless to say, I am happy with the creative side of life. The weather has been better too, which always helps.

Elsewhere, Bee and I visited my stepmum and helped out with sorting some of my Dad’s trains. That has been a huge relief. We also did a bit of gardening and had a lovely meal out at Easter. I’ve also been helping Steve McCarten get an inaugural film festival off of the ground in Bournemouth. That will be great if we can manage it.

Finally, been watching a load of Fatty Arbuckle stuff to lighten the mood. Love it.
