Having completed a couple of marathons myself, I found this man’s attempt to complete the London Marathon dressed as Brian the Snail inspiring. It’s not about the winning, it’s the taking part, and all that. I never realised until later, that he was actually sacked by the charity for not making money, but actually losing it.
Addendum: It’s not about the winning, it’s about the taking part. As long as you still make a profit.
