This month I was busy with lots of marking, a couple of online gigs (one for National Teen Book Club, another for a conference in Cairo) and some travel. Like other recent months, it still seemed to drag a bit, despite being busy. Weather improved a bit so I got some gardening done and plants potted. I did some practice runs ahead of the Race for Life next month. My calves really ache even after a short amount, so I am dreading that. Bee and I visited Ireland to see my family for a few days, which was her first time there in over ten years.
I also delivered the BAFTA Albert training to another cohort of students this year. As time passes I feel like part of the problem rather than the solution to many of the climate change stuff. This blog is an example. Just lots of pages of inane shite, adding to the global population of noise. I can proudly say that my website currently has an A grade carbon rating according to the carbon website tracker but it’s not as good as no website at all. Then all my videos and music, sitting on loads of servers, with data centres guzzling energy at an extraordinary rate. Adding to my point last month, it seems like another good reason to quit Spotify.

In other news, I have been busy filming a documentary. I don’t want to expand on it here as I don’t feel it is the time to explain it all, and I am keen to get a bit further down the road before sharing. Suffice to say, it has been fun to be making again. With regard to movie watching, I think I am so far behind this year, I will struggle to see the 150.
