Today the news announced that Ewen MacIntosh passed away. We worked together on The Confusion of Tongues and I’d echo what others have said about him. He was kind, funny, and so professional. Knew all his lines, committed to the cause when we were shooting the film, and was a legend at the wrap party. Just a glimpse at his IMDb shows how hard he worked and how fully he lived his life. I feel numb more than anything else. There’s been so much loss lately in my life that I can’t really attribute a feeling to it anymore. I hadn’t kept in touch with Ewen after the 72 project, despite the fact that we said we’d like to work together again. The opportunity never arose. I will miss the fact that I won’t get a chance to meet up with him and reminisce, especially as it was ten years ago this year that we made The Confusion of Tongues. Rest in peace Ewen. You will be missed.
