Never work with kids and animals

Two-thirds of the way through filming with Sophie and the snails and we are stopping for a cup of tea. It’s a long day but a fun one. Sophie likes to stick her tongue out when I’m about to film, and doesn’t like standing on the same spot because it is ‘boring’. Hmm. She is a really good sport though and I am happy with the bits we are getting. It’s a challenge to work with children and animals, especially on the same shoot, but I’m doing it for the challenge so I cannot complain. It’s better to gain experience doing it like this than on a set with seventy people standing around and the pressure of a producer looking at their watch. Speaking of which, I must go. We are only two-thirds of the way through!
