It’s one week after Katie and I were filming the first parts of footage and the snails have been returned to the Spotted Dog, where they’ll race for the Digbeth O’lympics and then be sent back into the wild. I have been quite sad since they left as they were so fascinating to watch! One of the great things about filmmaking is that you have to temporarily explore other things in the world in order to understand them and communicate it to others. For example, in the four years that I worked as a freelancer I made videos about all sorts of things, including Tai Chi, floristry, managing a sushi restaurant, boiler manufacturing and legal software development. Learning how to care for snails was great! I became particularly interested in how they ate food. Before any of you worry that I am losing my mind, I can assure you that I am quite fine and that the snails don’t represent a huge loss to me! Well, it’s nothing that a bit of Youtube can’t sort out:
