It was time to go back to work after a summer of travelling and relaxing. In fairness I was excited by the prospect of going back, as we’ve made some tweaks to the course and it will be interesting to see how it progresses. I’m less excited about the physical demand of all the travelling to and from work. This month was loads of walking, having pointed out that last month was the fewest steps I had done in ages.
Many of my habits and hobbies took a kicking this month. I think the break in rhythm happens this time in each year (certainly last year), so the trick is not to let it slip in total. Pleasingly, writing and filmmaking were not areas where I slacked.
The hope is to release some things into the world before Christmas. I’m trying to be a bit more measured and planned about it, rather than pushing things out in the heat of enthusiasm when just finished. Occasionally I wish I had waited for a bit. I am in that phase right now.
