The first part of the month was spent visiting Berlinale. I joined around 30 Bournemouth University Film Society students in a visit to the festival, and we had a jolly good time. I hadn’t been to the festival for a few years so it was nice to see old faces like Miriam Allen, Ben Arntz, the Corbridge family, Finie Pauditz and Geli Richert. I’ve had some meetings with sales agents to help Stefano Petroni on his Memoria Nueva documentary and a meeting with Amazon about interactive stories for their Alexa and Echo devices. I shared an apartment with fellow Bournemouth filmmaker Steve McCarten, who is looking to develop his Faithless project.
There was loads of marking and teaching in February, which meant I didn’t see many films or read many books, but I still managed the following:

I also managed to get a few days of skiing in with my niece and nephew in Les Contamines, which was a lovely break. The weather has been awesome so it was a true holiday.
