I got this message from Joanna in Amsterdam. I couldn’t tell if her snail was a boy or a girl, so we are going to call it ‘Joe’ I think!
Apologies for the delay. I’ve been busy running (cycling) around, settling in Amsterdam, getting into my new work routine, learning Dutch and the Dutch lifestyle… But never forgot about my little friend, she’s been with me all the way.
Now in the library – and the word ‘library’ is a little bit of an understatement when you decribe Openbare Bibliotheek Amsterdam, with seven floors filled with books, albums, CDs, DVDs, computers, arts, instruments, magazines, newspapers, comfortable’s sofas, white desks, various chairs, silver escalators, white lamps and, above all of that, food – there’s a restaurant on the top floor overlooking flat panorama of Amsterdam. Unfortunately, the terrace is closed during these months and my little friend did not get to see the view.Nevertheless, I took him to the library where I spend a lot of time studying Dutch.
Please don’t think: that’s it! This is only beginning, I’ve got more plans…
