It was a full day of work and I haven’t been presented with much of an opportunity to write today, but I’ve made an effort on the basis that I have to start somewhere. I’ve managed 703 words in about 90 minutes, which is a steady start! Obviously the neccessary average to reach 50,000 is going to be approximately 1666 a day, so I am well under halfway for my daily quota. By falling behind so quickly, I’ve already made it an average of 1699 per day for the rest of the month, but I think it can be clawed back! I’m averaging at just under eight words a minute, so that is 6162 minutes, or 103 hours, or 13 eight hour days, depending how you look at it.
I find I always move faster once I’m up to speed, and it is always more difficult to start…
