I believe education is valuable.
I was the curious (annoying) kid in school, who always asked “why?” even if the answer was not on the curriculum. I believe in life-long learning and the value that it brings to us as individuals. I have enjoyed continuing my own education up to my doctorate, but I also enjoy helping others in their learning. Aside from lecturing at university, I volunteer for Speakers for Schools, an organisation that sends leading practitioners into state schools to inspire students.
I present a regular podcast called ‘The Bridge’ with fellow lecturer WeZ Nolan, exploring topics that affect students and staff in a university context.
